About

About Us ~ History of www.kazor.com.

Kazor.com was suppose to have been “AuctionHouse.com” which started in the Early 90’s by neighbors Christopher Kazor of American Marketing Management and Motivation Services, Inc which does business as The Ybor City Telephone Company or Ybor City Telco and David Morris of Morris Consulting. Back in those days you did not have to pay for domain name registration you merely completed an online form. As you can imagine the forms were somewhat cumbersome and completed in error – Instead Kazor’s last name was inserted into the field for the domain name, and the site became www.kazor.com. Those interested in seeing what kazor.com look liked back then go to http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.kazor.com

The site at that time was called “Auction House of the South” and hopes were high, in 1994 a meeting was held on Palm Avenue in Sarasota Florida to raise money. However, one person who had no patience in watching a “Dial UP” connection demo stood up and announced “this internet thing is a stupid fad, it will be gone in 6 months.” As he left all of the potential investors followed.

The Ybor City Telco struggled with kazor.com while spending most of its resources on other projects and kazor.com became in 2000 The World’s Community Newspaper running press releases and promotions for Non Profits.

In 2005 Ybor City Telco acquired the search engine Spivo. With the management of Spivo, American Marketing Management and Motivation Services, Inc formed a separate entity Adviatech (Advertising Via Technology).
